December 2, 2007: The Power of Acceptance
In this service we will explore what it is to be wounded, and how to reclaim the joy of life. Let us open the door to healing and renewal.

November 18, 2007: Justification by Faith
This is the third sermon in a series of three on Faith.
One of the main themes of Martin Luther, who started the Reformation was   are we saved by our works? Or are we saved by faith? What is this old debate about, and what meaning does it have for our lives today?

October 21, 2007: A Growing Faith
This is the second sermon in a series of three on Faith.
Affirming our third principle: to accept one another and to encourage each another to spiritual growth in our congregations. As we grow physically, mentally, and emotionally, so do we also grow spiritually? Let us explore the different stages of faith development and consider our own personal journey.

October 14, 2007: Blessing The World
Love is a more positive force for good than fear. Can we rise from the ashes and redeem the violence and suffering of the twentieth century? What changes in worldview are required of us to make that possible?

September 16, 2007: Tending the Spiritual Lives of Our Children
We say in our child dedication service that our children do not belong to us. They belong to themselves. It is not our job to make them like us – although we may choose to be like them. How then do we give them the tools to construct a supportive belief system that sustains them through a lifetime?

September 9, 2007: A Responsible Faith
This is the first sermon in a series of three on Faith.
How has our Unitarian faith developed as a responsible faith? To whom are we responsible and for what? In this service we will explore the answers to this questioning by some of our Unitarian forebears, and explore different approaches today, given the personal and spiritual challenges we face.

June 17, 2007: Flower Communion
The flower service was first created by Norbert Capek during the second world war. It was a service designed to bring Jews, Catholics and Protestants into communion together. Let us enjoy this beautiful celebration of community and take the time to honour our achievements this year in R.E.

June 3, 2007: A Celebration of the Body
The human experience is to live in a mortal body. Everything we know and all our understandings of who we are come to us through our senses. We experience love, sensuality, joy, and pain through our eyes, ears, nose, tongue, hands, and brain. Let us celebrate this connection between ourselves and all that is.

May 6, 2007: By Their Groups Shall You Know Them
The Council of Canadians and the Canadian Centre For Policy Alternatives together with Labour organizations are calling us to rally against the SPP – The Security and Prosperity Partnership. Their goal is to return the world society to a proper balance of power between Government, the Corporate Sector, and Civil Society. Why are our governments giving up their sovereignty through administrative treaties, and what is our involvement as a religious community?

April 29, 2007: Democracy, Eh?
(Dewey on Democracy )
We affirm and promote the right of conscience and the use of the democratic process in our congregations and in society at large.
Why is democracy a central religious principle in our movement? Is it time for us to renew our understandings of democracy and its practices?

April 22, 2007: Earth Communion
We affirm and promote respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.
Let us renew our connections to the earth that sustains us. Join us in celebration and commitment to a life in harmony with the rhythms of nature.

April 8, 2007: Resurrection? Or Rebirth and Renewal?
We promote acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth.
In an era when not too many of us believe in miracles, what useful understandings can we make of the Easter story? As spring advances, what role does myth and ritual play in connecting us to the inner and outer seasons in our lives?

March 25, 2007: Breathing Community
On our eleventh birthday let us remind ourselves of the interconnected web that joins us with all living things by celebrating an air communion.

February 25, 2007: Go 4 It!
There is no point in growing just for the sake of growth. This unique approach started by the Canadian Unitarian Council will add zest and meaning to our work as a Fellowship.

January 28, 2007: Shared Vision, Shared Ministry
Where do we come from? What are we? Where are we going? Mystery. Mystery. Life is a riddle and a mystery. What is the vision that will carry us forward together in ministry?

January 14, 2007: Fire Communion – Forgiveness
The old year passes and the new begins. The Unitarian Fire Communion service gives us a chance to reflect on the things we need to let go in order to have a good start in the new year.

December 17, 2006: Yule and the Pagan Christ
The Christmas Story: History or Myth? Let's explore the ideas of Tom Harpur as we reflect on how we can make this season our own – and still enjoy some of our favourite carols.

December 10, 2006: Are You Ready?
Many traditions have a practice of preparation before an important spiritual event. Christians practice Advent at Christmas time. First Nations people may cleanse themselves with a smudge or a sweat before tackling a difficult task. When do we, as Unitarians, prepare ourselves? And for what?

November 26, 2006: Liberal Theology: A Radical Religion For Today
The word Liberal is taking quite a beating these days. What does it mean? What does it stand for? Is it worth reviving? Let's explore some of the ideas of James Luther Adams and Clarence Skinner – our liberal ethicists of the twentieth century.

November 12, 2006: Visioning Peace: In celebration of our goal of world community with peace, liberty and justice for all
Do the ends justify the means? Is there an ethical argument for a pre-emptive first strike? Violence continues in the Middle East. The war initiatives in Afghanistan and Iraq are falling apart. We have a new nuclear race. What should Canada do? How can our witness for peace make a difference?

October 22, 2006: Do We Have an Eternal Soul?

The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao
The name that can be named is not the eternal name
The nameless is the beginning of heaven and earth.

Is there life after death? If so, are we looking towards a heaven and a hell? Escape from the endless cycle of rebirth? Oneness with God? An "end time" when all will come to fruition? Or an apocalypse? What difference does the answer make to the way we live our lives?

October 8, 2006: The Abundant Life
We have come through several years of economic growth in Canada. Nature has given us wonderful summers with plentiful rain and sunshine leading to good crops. Do we have enough yet? Let's explore ideas of abundance in our lives.

September 24, 2006: The Energy of Growth
Some of us are ready for growth and others may not be. Some of us have been dreaming of changes and others like the congregation just the way it is. We feel an exciting energy around us as we look forward to enjoying a dynamic, vital community. We feel a little anxious as well. Will we be able to set a vision and make it real? Will we retain the strong sense of community that makes us who we are? Let's examine the healthy ways to manage change so we can relax a little and enjoy the ride.

September 10, 2006: On Communion (Water Communion Service)
Let us celebrate a return to intergenerational community and meet our new minister with a water communion ceremony.
